Scholarships

Each year the CIVOC donates four (4) scholarships in memory of several veterans whose loss of life showed us that there was a need to encourage
growth and education of veterans and their children.  The scholarship started as three (3) $500.00 awards, but today through generous support it has grown to four (4) $1000.00 awards.

These scholarships were designed for veterans and children; The scholarships are awarded directly to the recipient - and not the institution they are attending. The intention is so they can use these funds to offset book costs, lab fees and other costs associated with attending college.

The requirements:

  • Must be a veteran, child of veteran, or dependent of a veteran.
  • Veterans or children of veterans, eligible for Chapter 35, or who's tuition is covered by other sources ARE ELIGIBILE.
  • High School Senior, Graduate or equivalent with proof of acceptance to an accredited institution of higher learning.
  • Copy of an official transcript from an institution already attending. (If transferring an acceptance letter must accompany transcript).
  • Transcript must indicate at least a 2.5 grade point average for consideration.
